We’ll save the day (or week, or month)

In today’s ever moving and ever changing world, it is vital that your business keeps pace. However, this may prove difficult, if not impossible, were you unable to enter your premises or access your servers. With scheduled backups running automatically in hourly, daily, weekly and monthly increments, we reduce unnecessary downtime and keep lost revenue to a minimum.

If disaster strikes, your operations can be recovered to virtual servers in separate geographic locations. Because you can be sure that central databases and systems won’t be lost, you’ll be able to react to a disaster without the added pressures of worry and panic. If there’s a flood, fire or theft, or you are denied access to your offices following an unforeseen event, you can take your time to invest in any new equipment needed. While we help you to follow your disaster recovery plan, you can be calm and composed, in the knowledge that your data will be waiting for you in our secure vaults.

Put our solutions to the test – we do

Unlike many providers who simply don’t have the time or expertise to do so, we’ll carry out Disaster Recovery tests for your company on a regular basis. As such, we can be confident that when disaster strikes, catastrophe does not. We also document recovery procedures, so both parties know what has been backed up, and what can be restored if something goes wrong. Such measures mean we consistently achieve high levels of service and support in areas where many of our competitors can not.

Types of Disaster Recovery

Onsite Disaster Recovery

If partial disruption occurs to one or multiple servers.

  • The Local Storage module enables high speed disaster recovery
  • It stores the latest copies of all data locally for instant restore
  • If a restore is needed, the data is quickly recovered from the local storage at LAN speed
  • A complete Bare Metal Restore of a server to different hardware takes 15-20 minutes

Offsite Disaster Recovery

When you suffer disruption to an entire site.

  • If an entire site is destroyed or unavailable, multiple bare metal restores will be necessary
  • New virtual servers are configured in Backup Technology’s data centre’s with the same operating systems as the original devices
  • All servers are then fully recovered to the point in time of failure
  • You can then access your complete systems via a secure VPN
  • Complete recovery is performed and documented as part of an annual disaster recovery test
